Spanish regions 'becoming more popular'

Published by Zeb BhamMore people may be considering taking out foreign mortgages for properties in destinations to the north of Spain as growing numbers explore the region's heritage.Carmen Hernandez Gomez, market analyst at the Spanish Tourism Office, said that a growing interest in food and wine is encouraging more people to head to destinations in the north of the country."Asturias, Galicia, Leon and other regions are well connected [with] direct flights, and offer new experiences to those who already know some parts of Spain and want to do something different," said Ms Hernandez Gomez.She added that the major cities in the country remain attractive and offer plenty of experiences.
