Published by Mark Smith-HalvorsenTravellers planning to vacate UK shores in the coming weeks have been advised that destinations outside of the eurozone offer the best value on holiday money.According to Expedia's director of product management Jonathan Cudworth, while belts have been tightened, Britons are still keen to take their annual holiday. However, value is an important factor in deciding where to go, he said."By booking flights and hotels together, visiting destinations that offer the best currency exchange rates and ensuring additional hotel costs are kept to a minimum, customers can make their money go further," advised Mr Cudworth. In addition to Balkan states such as Croatia and Slovenia, the US was identified as an emerging bargain travel hotspot, although the dollar has climbed in recent foreign exchange trading sessions. His comments followed a recent report from Thomson which revealed that 80 per cent of Britons are planning to take at least one holiday this year. For competitive rates and commission free travel money, visit our Travel FX site
