Forex market news notes dollar bounce

Thursday, 17 September 2009 09:17:46 GMT

The dollar gained against the yen in world Forex market news as it neared the investment threshold of 90.60 yen.
Should the value of the currency dip below this, investors holding some options contracts face lower profits, according to the Dow Jones newswire.
The Wall Street Journal reports the Forex market news provider as saying that non-Japanese investors led to the rise in the dollar's fortunes.
In New York on Wednesday, the dollar remained above the landmark figure, rising from 90.78 to 91.09 yen.
Meanwhile, in Asia's Thursday trading session, the dollar also gained ground off the back of "technical buying".
The Forex market news follows previous success for the dollar against the yen, after comments from Japan's vice finance minister Yasuatake Tango.
MarketWatch reported that he had told Dow Jones of the attention being given to yen by officials, sparking a rise in the dollar's value from 90.69 to 91.02 yen.ADNFCR-2522-ID-19365105-ADNFCR
