Published by Mark Smith-HalvorsenThe US property market is moving in an upward trend as investors grow more confident, according to analysis from Nubricks.Adam Samuel, director of the online overseas property portal, said that the company has seen a sharp increase in the number of enquiries for distressed property in states such as Florida in the last three months. He said that this was one of a number of signs that the market is witnessing a recovery, with improving tourism figures also providing a gauge for overseas interest. The National Association of Realtors has also recently revealed that the pending sales index has risen by 17.3 per cent in the past 12 months.Mr Samuel concluded that while some British foreign property mortgage buyers have been put off by weak exchange rates, many are deciding to "buy anyway if it is their ambition and they believe that the price point of the distressed properties is worthwhile".For more information on purchasing currency for regular or one-off payments, visit our Personal FX site
