Travellers looking for a cost-effective foreign break may want to look at Turkey, Club Alla Turca has advised.
In recent comments, the travel group explained that Turkey offers an alternative to eurozone countries that have become increasingly expensive to visit as the pound has languished against the euro.
Gökhan Yilmazer, a spokesperson for the company, said the country is continuing to enjoy a rise in visitor numbers now that a recent H1N1 outbreak has been contained.
"The euro is more expensive than the pound and that is the reason why Brits are choosing, not Spain or Italy, but Turkey," he explained, adding that travellers can enjoy beautiful scenery, high-quality hotels and excellent services at a greatly reduced cost than is offered in eurozone countries.
According to recent research carried out by trivago.co.uk, the Turkish holiday resort of Belek is also becoming increasingly popular with golfers and those in search of luxury hotel accommodation.
