Singapore trading took the dollar higher over the course of Monday (September 14th) in the country, reversing a fall in valuations last week.BusinessDay reports news from press agency Reuters that claims the dollar had previously hit a year low against a number of other world currencies. However, as the new working week began in the east, it posted a slight recovery in Singapore, gaining around a third of one per cent on Monday.Ken Hasegawa, commodity derivatives sales manager at Tokyo-based broker Newedge, told Reuters: "We may see dollar weakness for a while."The rise this week marks a slight recovery for the dollar, which had begun to level out by the end of last week from a previous series of drops.MarketWatch reported on Thursday (September 10th) that the dollar had slowed its slide. This led to a "cautiously optimistic tone" as trading progressed from the Labor Day public holiday onwards.
