Confidence in US markets 'on the up'

Published by Mark Smith-HalvorsenInvestors are becoming increasingly confident in the US markets and are opting to place their funds in the country, a report states.A growing number of people are seeing more opportunities to make money, a survey of investors, analysts and traders conducted by Bloomberg has found.The US appears to be the centre of the optimism, the survey found, noting that world equity markets in general seem to be popular, while gold is becoming less popular.Investors from Europe are more willing to take risks than those in Asia, the survey found, noting that this is the first time since the quarterly poll began in July 2009 that such a result has been returned.The dollar's performance on the foreign exchange market has also been positive. The currency started this week with strength against the euro.
