Published by Zeb BhamForeign exchange trading activity could be set to grow after experts reported that companies in Greater Manchester are becoming increasingly positive about their prospects.According to the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the financial and professional services industries are performing especially well at the moment, the Manchester Evening News reports.Dr Brian Sloan, head of business and economic policy at the body, said this could filter through to other parts of the economy."Business investment in the year ahead should help create jobs and drive better growth in 2012," he commented. However, Dr Sloan acknowledged that economic growth is likely to be slow throughout 2011, as many sectors are experiencing "periods of difficulty".He added that much of the future investment that is expected to occur will come from larger enterprises, since smaller businesses are experiencing greater concerns regarding cash flow. The CBI recently predicted that economic output in the UK will rise by 1.7 per cent this year and 2.2 per cent in 2012.For more information on foreign exchange treasury services and risk management, visit our Corporate FX site
